Following the agreement, Conan O’Brien’s interview podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, as well as ten other podcasts, will join the SiriusXM podcast network. The episodes will also be available on other podcasting sites. As part of the $150 million transactions, O’Brien agreed to a five-year contract with the satellite radio behemoth.

He will create a comedy channel for SiriusXM’s main radio service, as well as video material from his podcasts and late-night programs, live events, and merchandise. SiriusXM will also welcome Team Coco’s personnel. Several podcasts have been bought in recent months by firms such as Amazon, Spotify, and others. Exclusive podcasts may help attract listeners to subscription-based services. It may also draw listeners to free platforms, allowing them to start advertising enterprises. Scott Greenstein, Sirius XM’s President, and Chief Content Officer said,

“We are happy that Conan continues to produce his phenomenally popular podcast and will now extend his position to executive produce an exclusive Team Coco radio station for Sirius XM.” Conan has developed an incredible brand and structure at Team Coco, and he has a proven track record of discovering and releasing fascinating and addicting podcasts.
