The Emmy-winning actress and television personality, Niecy Nash, recently featured as Glenda Cleveland in the Netflix limited series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which aired on Netflix on September 21. The program, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, centers on the eponymous serial murderer Jeffrey Dahmer (played by Evan Peters), whose 13-year killing rampage started in 1978 and mostly targeted young homosexual men of color. The show chronicles the circumstances that led to the birth of the famed ‘Milwaukee Monster,’ as well as his eventual incarceration in 1991. The program focuses on Dahmer’s victims’ traumatic experiences and presents the event from the perspective of these victims and Dahmer’s neighbors.
The persona of Niecy Nash Glenda Cleveland was one of Dahmer’s neighbors who was among the first to suspect his conduct and report him to the police.

1) Niecy Nash has a Drama degree from California State University.
It comes as no surprise that Niecy Nash studied Drama at California State University since the degree undoubtedly aided her in becoming a wonderful actor. Niecy Nash previously revealed in an interview with Us Weekly:
When I was five years old, I decided I wanted to be an actor after watching actress Lola Falana on television.
Although she began her career booking bookings for an airline, Nash swiftly rose to appear in a variety of famous programs, including the comedy series Reno 911!, Getting On, and When They See Us.
2) Nash has three children who are all actors.
Niecy Nash and her first husband, Don Nash, have three children. From 1994 until 2007, their marriage lasted 13 years. Their three children, Dominic, Donielle, and Dia, are all performers in the entertainment world. Dominic and Donielle Nash are featured in The Soul Man with their mother Nash. Donielle has also appeared in sitcoms such as Modern Family, Never Have I Ever, and Grown-ish. Dia Nash has appeared in various series with her mother, including Reno 911!, Claws, and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, in which she plays Sandra Smith, the daughter of Nash’s character Glenda Cleveland.
3) Niecy Nash and her now-wife also have a clothing company.
Niecy Nash came out as bisexual when she married singer Jessica Betts in a stunning wedding ceremony in August 2020. The pair dated in secrecy until their wedding day, when they announced their engagement to the public. They were also the first same-sex pair to appear on the cover of Essence. Nash and Betts have collaborated on a clothing brand that honors love and Black LGBTQ greatness. The label, ‘Betts of Both Worlds,’ integrates their married name and references to the project combining the best of both of them.
4) Nash is presently writing her second book at Oprah’s advice.
In 2013, Niecy Nash published It’s Hard to Fight Naked, a self-help book. Niecy confessed to Kevin Frazier in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she is now writing a second book at the advice of Oprah Winfrey. She also said that Winfrey (a rumored Nash admirer) approached her about publishing a book about her revolutionary love story with Jessica Betts.
5) Nash has helped with several non-profit groups.
Nash has collaborated with a number of important organizations. She was the public face of the group M.A.V.I.S. (Mothers Against Violence in Schools). Her mother created the group in 1993, after Nash’s younger brother, Michael, was tragically murdered in a school shooting that year. Niecy assisted her mother in running the M.A.V.I.S. until they decided to close it down.
She has also volunteered for charities such as Dress for Success and the American Cancer Society. Nash also assisted Wendy Raquel Robinson, a friend, and fellow actress, at Robinson’s Amazing Grace Conservatory, a non-profit center that teaches and develops new artists in the performing arts.
