Despite his divorce from his kid’s original mother, Claudia Valdez, American comedian Gabriel Iglesias discusses his adoptive son Frankie Iglesias in his sketches. The father-son relationship is fantastic.
Iglesias Will Concentrate on Himself and His Son Frankie
The comedian has made audiences laugh with his wit and humor; nonetheless, Iglesias found himself in a difficult predicament in 2017. The burden of managing his personal and professional lives took its toll on him since he couldn’t find a work-life balance that worked for him. “Everything went apart,” he stated in a People interview in June 2020.
The actor went into survival mode, which included abstaining from alcohol for nearly two years and avoiding professional responsibilities for an “emotional rebuild.” I went into survival mode, and I started drinking again, but I needed time to ponder; I couldn’t drink and repair myself. Furthermore, the artist admitted to Billboard in 2018 that he broke down on stage when discussing his kid and had to go off the stage. According to the source, “I became upset on stage talking about how my son is no longer a child.” He’s [Frankie] a grownup now, a man. And it struck me so hard that I got choked up, stepped off stage, and crumbled. In the same interview, Iglesias said that success and money were meaningless if time was not spent with family. After recognizing his error, the comedian apologized to his son Frankie for his absence throughout the years.

I collapsed and thought, ‘Oh my God, what am I doing with myself?’ Yes, there are vehicles and money, but am I still happy? I have a child at home who has everything but does not have as much time with me as he might. According to Nicki Swift magazine, Frankie ultimately forgives his father. The comedian took time away from his business obligations to reflect as a family man. He now thinks differently about home as a single parent: “Home is different for me today.” I can concentrate on myself, my profession, my children, and my pets.
Iglesias and his ex-girlfriend co-parented their son.
Following issues with work-life balance, the actor divorced his long-term partner, Claudia Valdez, in the summer of 2020. The exact cause for the separation is unclear; however, it has been speculated that the two split up owing to Iglesias’ drinking and emotional troubles. The comedian had been in a 12-year relationship with Valdez. The pair were first seen together in public at an event in 2008. Since they were together, they have resided in California and raised Frankie [Valdez’s kid from a previous relationship]. Although the couple did not have biological children of their own, Iglesias always regarded Frankie as his own and granted him the opportunity to use his family name.
