Ex-lovers don’t always stay away from each other after a breakup. Instead, some remain friends. Sophie Kasaei and Joel Corry from Geordie Shore, are one such ex-couple. Their six-year relationship was featured in early episodes of MTV’s scandalous show.
Their romance ended in September 2017.
Kasaei revealed to New! Magazine that her ex-boyfriend broke up with her over the phone. He said it wouldn’t work between them, and she assumed there was another girl. Aber, he swore no one else was involved.
Then he said, ‘I don’t think we have a future because it’s just not what I want.’ You want to settle down, which is understandable, but it’s not for me,” she revealed.

Sophie Kasaei and Ex-Boyfriend Joel Corry On Good Terms
Kasaei moved to Essex from Newcastle to be with Corry, and she returned after the breakup. Despite being dumped over the phone, the Geordie Shore star revealed she had no ill will towards her ex. According to the MTV star, the public’s opinion may have harmed their relationship and caused their separation.
The “whole nation” hated her romance with Corry, she said, because he was distant with Kasaei.
Kasaei insisted she and her ex-boyfriend were still on good terms.
He blocked her number after the breakup, claiming it was not out of spite but to make things easier. His music career took off, with hits like ‘Head & Heart’ and ‘Lonely and Bed. When ‘Head & Heart’ hit number one in the UK, Kasaei was one of the first to congratulate him. “Yeah, Joel!!! We are all so proud! “Hard work always pays off,” she tweeted.

Thanks to ‘Head & Heart,’ the singer revealed his ex-lover and relationship status. Corry told The Sun he was moved when Kasaei congratulated him on his music success.
“It was nice when Sophie reached out, we’d spoken sporadically. I think she’s doing great. “We have no bad blood,” he said. He thanked Kasaei for her kind words, as she knew his dream and when they were together.
That Kasaei was probably pleased and sent his regards. In terms of dating, he said he was “100% single” and focused on his music. Lady DMs were coming in, but that was not his priority.
