Scotty McCreery and Gabi Dugal are expecting their first child in November 2022. The musician told PEOPLE that he and Dugal had always wanted to have children. He said:
“We always knew we wanted kids, but we also knew we wanted to spend the first few years traveling and seeing things and experiencing life.”
McCreery also said that they had accomplished everything in their life and that now is the ideal time to settle and grow their family.

Gabi Dugal works as a pediatrician. She attended Duke University Hospital after graduating from the University of North Carolina in 2016. It is currently unclear where she works. Scotty McCreery and Gabi Dugal attended the same primary school and kindergarten. However, love blossomed as they approached their final year of high school. McCreerys’ pregnancy adventure has been fascinating So far
Gabi had intended to tell McCreery about the pregnancy after picking him up at the airport on their way to a hockey game earlier in the year. Unfortunately, a delayed trip spoiled her plans, and she couldn’t inform him until the next day. Scotty described his encounter as follows:
“I’m over there drinking beers and having a wonderful time when she says, ‘I guess I’ll just lay low tonight,’ and I say, ‘Okay.’ I didn’t think much of it.”
Discovering the baby’s gender was an equally exciting event for the couple. McCreery said why he “simply assumed it would be a girl”:
“I was the last McCreery boy, the last boy on both sides of my family. Gabi is from a household with two sisters.”
Scotty intends to teach his youngster to baseball, as well as music and golf. Gabi said that her skills as a pediatric nurse would also be beneficial in handling the infant. She said, ”
“Even simply changing diapers many times a day and finding out how to comfort the kid when they’re crying has really helped.”
