Gatlin and her late father were featured in a photo shared by Gatlin’s mother. In matching red t-shirts, the two appeared to be standing next to each other.
Gatlin was shot at Barnes Street in Jackson, according to Jackson police. On Thursday, at 8:40 p.m., the incident occurred.
