Netflix is about to launch a fresh new reality TV series called Dance 100. The structure of this tournament is very distinct from what fans are used to seeing on dance programs. The tournament will feature eight of the finest performers fighting against each other for the opportunity to earn a huge monetary reward.
The performers on the program have performed for celebrities such as Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Lizzo, Cardi B, Missy Elliot, and Kelly Clarkson. But here’s the twist: instead of dancing, these dancers will be choreographing a performance for a group of others, putting their abilities to the ultimate test.
Dance 100 will debut exclusively on Netflix on March 17, 2023, at 3 a.m. ET.
Dance 100 will debut exclusively on Netflix on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 3 a.m. ET/2 a.m. ET. According to Netflix’s formal news statement, the summary for Dance 100 is as follows:
“There could be 100 performers in a room… but it will take all of them to determine who will be the next great director. Every motion counts in the upcoming competition series Dance 100, which premieres on March 17. Eight extremely gifted dancers will compete in a high-stakes dance fight, believing they have what it takes to become one of the greats.”
It goes on to say:
“The competitors must construct astounding and increasingly complicated routines starring 100 of the world’s best dancers, known as the Dance 100, with presenter and renowned Peloton teacher Ally Love supervising the challenge. What’s the catch? Not only do the dancers perform, but they also determine the destiny of the directors.”
Because the dancers will be determining the destiny of the designers, each round is crucial, and the stakes only get greater. As the stages continue, more dancers will join the stage, until all 100 of them are on stage for the big conclusion, where the victor will walk away with $100,000 and the title.
Presenter Ally Love also stated that the obstacles and amount of performers increase with each round. Ally revealed in an exclusive chat with E-News:
“Coming from a dance background, I’m thrilled to present a championship series that celebrates the talent and ability of the world’s finest performers and directors. I can’t wait for everyone to see their ability!”
