Chrishell Stause recently experienced the loss of both of her parents to cancer. They both died of lung cancer within a year of each other. First, the actress lost her father in 2019 following a “long awful fight with cancer” that began years before his death. Similarly, Ranae, her mother, died in July 2020. While the precise date of her death has not been established, the Selling Sunset actress announced her death on Saturday, July 18, 2020.
Stause went to Instagram on February 4, 2020, World Cancer Day, to share updates on her mother’s condition. The television actress stated in her article that she discovered a year ago that her mother had just a few months to live. Later, she revised her post to indicate that her mother had her first complete round of chemo and radiation, which was successful. She also encouraged her followers to seek a second opinion, as she did in her mother’s situation. In the last remarks, the actress said that her mother’s test results were considerably better and referred to her as a “warrior.”

Stause rushed to her official Instagram account to share the news that she had lost her father, who had adopted her as a baby.
She shared an old snapshot of a young Stause with her father on social media. She composed a long caption that was separated into two halves. Stause delivered an update on his passing throughout the first half. Stause said that she decided to commemorate her father before his lengthy struggle with illness.
Her father, she claimed, was a “catholic guy at heart,” and he selected Easter for a purpose. The day of the Easter celebration in 2019 also happens to be the day of his death. The actress said in the second section of her essay that she grew up in an unorthodox environment where her father, a drummer, was the “heartbeat” of the family. Similarly, Stause sent a similar set of phrases to her mother on July 18, 2020.
“In shock that you are no longer with us,” she wrote in the first phase of her lengthy caption. Furthermore, a tearful Stause said that she took consolation in knowing that her now-deceased father would look after her mother. She remembers seeing her mother take her last breath but expressed relief that her parents had been reunited. According to Stause, her mother was free of the agony that “plagued her time” when she was alive.

Chrishell Stause Honored Her Parents with a Dance Performance
Stause performed a memorable performance in honor of her late mother and father on the dancing reality program Dancing with the Stars on October 19. The actress and her dance partner, Gleb Savchenko, presented an emotive performance to the song “Stars” by Grace Potter And The Nocturnals. “It was one of the songs I listened to on repeat as I was struggling with the death of my parents,” a tearful Stause told her dancing partner during rehearsals, Us Weekly claimed.
“This dance is for them,” Stause said to the judges and the audience. Following her performance, the actress said that she “relied” on her parents and Savchenko to complete her dance. The dance couple received a total score of 24 out of 30 for their performance, which was their highest score to that point.
