Barrie Young fellow died on March 28. The reason for death is unknown. Her relatives said:
“[Barrie] had many faithful friends. Wonderful narrative and nice bottle. Was full of life and laughter. Even in her decline, she could deliver a punchline.”

Born on October 22, 1946. She married Michael Mund Youngfellow in 1968; then Sam Freed in 1983. Her first part was in a 1973 edition of The New Temperatures Rising Show. It was a 1972-1974 ABC comedy developed by William Asher and Harry Ackerman. The episode was set in a fictitious Washington, D.C. hospital with James Whitmore as the stern head of staff dealing with a young intern and three nurses. Due to low ratings, the series was canceled after 13 episodes in 1974. Some of his later TV roles were The Streets of San Francisco, Fernwood 2 Night, WKRP in Cincinnati, and Barney Miller.
Nightmare in Blood, Vampire, It Came Upon the Midnight Clear, and Moviola: The Scarlett O’Hara War were all based on her life. Barrie rose to fame as caustic waitress Jan Hoffmeyer Gray on the ABC comedy. It’s a Living. It was created by Stu Silver, Dick Clair, and Jenna McMahon and ran from 1980 to 1982 on ABC until being discontinued in 1985. Only Young fellow Gail Edwards, Paul Kreppel, and Marian Mercer remained in the show’s network, and syndication runs.
Paul Junger Witt and Tony Thomas, who created It’s a Living, later cast Barrie in the NBC comedy Blossom. She portrayed Mayim Bialik’s mother. However, she left the program once NBC made it a regular series. Her final TV appearance was in a 1998 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also ran To Be Announced, Inc. in California until 2011.

Barrie Youngfellow’s excellent performances constantly drew the audience’s attention despite not having prominent parts. People mourned her death on Twitter. Barrie’s sisters are Heidi and Kim Rivchun. Her funeral plans are still unknown.
