Richard Gere and his third wife, Alejandra Silva, 38, have just moved into Northshire, a 35-acre mansion in North Salem, New York, with their two boys. According to the Daily Mail, Gere paid $9.98 million for the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom red-brick house an hour north of Manhattan last year. The couple’s new house has 9,000 square feet of living space as well as a large chef’s kitchen. Gere allegedly paid $700,000 for an “empty nearby property” to expand the estate to 35 acres. Northshire, a rebuilt home that was originally constructed in 1934, also has an indoor and outdoor pool, a gym, and a wine cellar. Gere registered the estate to a Los Angeles trust firm that he had previously used to sell and acquire properties in order to conceal the acquisition of his new home.

Gere is allegedly asking $28 million for his 50-acre opulent Pound Ridge house, where he has resided for almost 20 years. David Letterman and Jenn Gates are now Gere and his wife’s neighbors (daughter of Bill Gates). Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva are two of Hollywood’s most renowned couples with large age disparities. Silva, who is 33 years Gere’s junior, is an activist and philanthropist. Silva was born in Spain in February 1983. Ignacio Silva, her father, is a Spanish businessman and former vice president of the Real Madrid Football Club.
Silva has collaborated with nonprofits such as the Beautiful Life Fund and the Rais Foundation for the Homeless. She has also taken part in the African Initiative Project of the Real Madrid Football Club Foundation. Silva was formerly married to Govind Friedland from 2012 until 2015. Her first marriage resulted in a boy called Albert, who was born in 2013.
Gere met his then-future bride when she was a child because he was a family friend of the Silvas. However, the pair was reintroduced in 2014 by a mutual friend at a hotel that Silva managed in Positano, Italy. According to many stories, after their adult reunion, Gere sent Silva flowers until she accepted to date, and he still writes her songs to this day. Silva turned to Buddhism after marrying in 2018, following in her husband’s footsteps. Alexander, their first child together, was born in February 2019. Silva gave birth to her second child with Gere in April 2020. The child’s name has yet to be announced.
