Two months after their reunion, American rapper Aaron Carter and his fiancée Melanie Martin have called it quits. On February 23, the 34-year-old musician declared their breakup through his Twitter account. While requesting privacy on this personal subject, he added that he does not want to get into a relationship because he is “too terrified” and “can’t trust” any lady. Following his Twitter admission, a fan inquired whether he was well, to which he replied that he felt better after the experience.
Aaron Carter, Nick Carter’s younger brother, had shared a video on social media the day before the breakup was disclosed. In the video, he can be seen displaying a new Chevrolet Escalade. The couple had their first child, a son called Prince, in November 2021. They had also split up a week after he was born, only to reconnect after a quarrel.

Melanie and Aaron Carter, the singer, made their romance public in January 2020, but they split up two months later in March. Melanie was arrested in March 2020, only weeks after Aaron got her name tattooed over his brow. According to online records, she was detained and freed after paying a part of her $50,000 bail. After the alleged event, Aaron Carter released a series of tweets in which he indirectly implied that Melanie had mistreated him in their relationship. He also wanted for her to have the “assistance she needs.”
Less than a month later, the two reunited, and Aaron verified to People Magazine that Melanie’s accusations had been dismissed. Melanie Martin subsequently revealed Aaron Carter’s communications to someone with whom he reportedly had an affair. Carter responded by accusing Melanie of having a “threesome with a 60-year-old guy” and an experience with “Pascal, the jeweler.” Carter proposed to Martin in June 2021, and the two reconciled. On December 3, only a few days after the birth of their son Prince, Aaron turned to Instagram to say that he was “literally stuck” inside his bedroom because his ex refused to leave.
On December 5, he posted a video of a police vehicle driving away from his house. “Officers arrived once again—friendly officers. I adore the Lancaster Police Department. Anyway, everything is OK.” According to TMZ, Aaron revealed specifics regarding their split, claiming that Melanie had been “lying” to him by speaking with his twin sister Angel and family members. They attempted to put him in jail and get a conservatorship over him.

Angel Carter is blamed for the developing schism between Aaron and Melanie. Angel said in a 2019 tweet (since deleted) that Aaron’s unsettling conduct and remarks about his murderous inclinations against children prompted her to file for a restraining order. Aaron Carter has also stated that Melanie is moving their kid to Las Vegas with her, putting space between them. In addition, Aaron’s California property has been listed for less than $850,000.
