Jeff Garcia is a four-time Pro Bowler who retired from football in 2011 after a long and successful career. Even though he no longer plays professionally, he remains active in the sport. Through his Jeff Garcia Football Program, he organizes various youth football camps to coach and nurtures the next generation of football players.
In addition to his kid’s football camps, he sat on the board of advisers for the reconstructed United States Football League (USFL), which debuted in May 2012. Garcia was also signed as an offensive assistant by the Los Angeles Rams in May 2015. Despite having retired for a decade, Garcia is still highly enthusiastic about sports. However, he is not the only sports fan in his family. All of his children like playing football.
Jeff Garcia’s Life After Retirement
After retiring from the NFL, the former quarterback has prioritized his family. Garcia, who is married to Carmella DeCesare, a Playmate from 2004, often blogs about their four children, Preston, Jax, Jason, and Faith. Garcia is very proud of his children and has instilled in them his passion for football. He connects with his children via sports and has previously mentioned spending time with his boys discussing the game.
Jeff Garcia’s Relationship With His Wife
It’s unclear when Garcia and DeCesare began dating, but her mother, Carmen Figueroa, acknowledged Garcia was seeing her daughter in a September 2004 interview with Cleveland Magazine. The couple married on April 21, 2007, at the CordeValle Resort in San Martin, California. Garcia even referred to his wife as his “agent” in 2012, claiming that any clubs interested in approaching him had first to persuade his wife since their lives were so chaotic with four small children.
It’s completely insane. I’m not sure how we operate with the amount of sleep we get. But it’s a gift in disguise. It’s crazy having four kids so close together and young, but they’ll enjoy the closeness at some time. Garcia has often expressed gratitude to his wife for raising four children with him. They not only collaborated as parents, but they also founded the Garcia Pass It On Foundation.
The foundation was founded to share resources with others who are less fortunate. The couple hopes to give back in tangible ways to causes close to their hearts and to pass on their success to benefit children’s lives. Garcia’s Eyes Up Foundation also raises awareness and funds for scholarships, resources, and community support in low-income areas. His website states that his purpose is to utilize his professional achievements in the field as a springboard to help give back and encourage others.
