He held her hand through a difficult period in her life.
Wyatt had a difficult year in 2017. Her then-14-year-old son was fighting cancer, and her second marriage to Michael Jamar Ford, an ordained preacher and reality program R&B Divas star, was breaking apart when she was eight months pregnant with his kid. She turned to Instagram to reveal that her ex-husband had filed for divorce, labeling her an emotional mess when she was eight months pregnant with their son and struggling with her kid’s disease.
Darring held Wyatt’s hand after Ford left her for another girl when she was coping with so much, and they married in October 2018 in Indianapolis. During an interview, Wyatt couldn’t stop gushing over her new spouse. She said that she contacted Darring, her childhood ex-boyfriend, and inquired about his whereabouts and well-being, without expecting anything in return. She had no idea whether he was dating anybody. He was like, “Girl, what’s up?” she was just saying. “O Jesus,” she remembered thinking.
Darring, she said, was someone she could rely on. He’ll never tell her he’s had enough of her, her pregnancy, and her son’s cancer struggle. Wyatt also discussed her son’s cancer fight. The most difficult aspect of coping with cancer as a mother was believing that he would die because she couldn’t repair it. The good news is that her kid has recovered from cancer. He is no longer cancerous.

Darring and his wife Wyatt had their first child, a baby boy named Ke ‘Riah Darring, on January 6, 2020. In May 2022, he became a father for the second time, welcoming a second baby boy, Ke’ Ziyah Jean Darring.
Ke’Ziyah, their second son, was diagnosed with Trisomy 13, commonly known as Patau Syndrome, a genetic condition caused by an extra copy of chromosome 13. On February 10, 2023, Wyatt posted on Instagram that they were on their way to the hospital again, this time with their youngest. His wife had been married twice before marrying him. She was just 18 when she married her first ex-husband, Rahmat Morton, her road manager. Their marriage, however, was marred by intense domestic violence. It got to the point that she stabbed her then-husband with a steak knife on Christmas Day.
When asked whether she would ever live down the stabbing event during an interview with Essence, she stated it was to defend herself and protect her children. She said that her life was in danger, saying that a normal person would not stab someone just for the sake of it and that others would not understand unless they put themselves in her position. She expressed regret for what she had done but refused to let it overtake her.
