Wilson Moore, a graduate of Heritage High School, died early Saturday morning. The former catcher was from Rolesville, North Carolina. Moore attended Heritage Middle and High School and played baseball. He played many positions, including catcher and pitcher. Wilson graduated from Heritage High last year and has yet to confirm his commitment to another baseball club. On Sunday night, the Heritage High Husky Baseball team posted about his demise on their Facebook page.
Wilson has a GoFundMe page, and his family has not spoken about his death. His GoFundMe page mentions concerns while utilizing recreational drugs.
Wilson Moore’s Death and Obituary
Wilson Moore’s death has shocked people close to the baseball star. Moore, a student at Heritage High, died while sleeping early Saturday morning. Wilson, 18, mostly played catcher but was also a right-handed pitcher. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist the Moore family with Wilson’s funeral and memorial costs. The target of $25,000 has been met thus far, with $15,000.
The GoFundMe website indicated that the cause of death was still under investigation, although accidental chemical poisoning was suspected. The GoFundMe campaign also encourages readers to teach their children and friends about the dangers of recreational drug usage, including the potential for death. A Facebook user whose kid happened to be Wilson’s buddy made a similar post. The user, Nicole Bennet Weeks, advised readers to discuss recreational drug usage with their children. The baseball team at Heritage High School posted an homage to Wilson.
The statement said, “Our hearts are sad as we reflect on the death of Wilson Moore, a valued member of our Husky Baseball family. He was more than simply a player; he was a friend, a shining example, and an excellent teammate with an infectious personality. His legacy will be recognized both in our program and on the field. Rest easy, Wilson. Your Husky family adores you and will miss you.”
Heritage High Baseball Player’s Family
Wilson’s family has not released a comment on his death. He was Betsy Ballard Moore’s only child. His mother, Betsy, has published a couple of photos of herself with her kid on Facebook. Kristina Currie Liljestrand posted his GoFundMe page. Wilson and Kristina’s son, Talan, were excellent friends. She published the GoFundMe page on both her Facebook and Instagram pages.
She captioned the image, “Unfortunately, we lost a precious soul this weekend. Wilson Moore, one of Talan’s dearest pals, has died. If you could give or leave a nice message for Wilson’s family, it would be tremendously appreciated.”
Wilson graduated from Heritage High School last year and was a member of the Class of 2023. It is unclear if he was looking forward to continuing his baseball career or venturing into a new sector. Wilson announced on Facebook that he was working as a Rodman for GSC Surveying.
