On October 4, 1953, the medical veteran was born, the son of Chicago Sun-Times journalist Vernon Jarrett and Fernetta Jarrett, with a sibling called Thomas S. Jarrett. William had just been appointed as the new head of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Jackson Park Hospital. He also worked as a surgeon and taught at Pontiac General Hospital in Michigan, where he was a resident. Before traveling to Chicago, he named him as chief resident.
He also graduated from Roosevelt University after studying at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine.

He had been married twice and divorced once in his life. He was married to Dr. Sherry Luck Jarrett at the time of his death. He and his wife had created two medical practices, one on the North Side and one on 79th and Stony Island. In 1992, Dollars & Cents magazine gave the pair a national award for their hard work and good actions. Vernon C. Jarrett, the couple’s first child, had been born. In addition, Sherry’s prior relationship resulted in Khadija Holman’s fatherhood. Furthermore, William was formerly married to Valerie Jarrett, a prominent government official and entrepreneur. The pair married in the year 1983, split in 1987 and divorced in 1988.

Their marriage had resulted in the birth of a daughter, Laura Jarrett. Jarrett, the new head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jackson Park Hospital, died abruptly of heart death at the age of 40. According to the reports, he has Behcet’s syndrome, a rare rheumatological ailment that has just been recognized in the United States in the past 20 years. As a result, despite his attempts to revive him after being taken to Michael Reese Hospital, he was declared dead.
