According to the show’s official synopsis:
“This season is more thrilling than any before, with a voyage full of surprises that sends the participants on a tour of a lifetime. On MasterChef’s tenth season, Ramsay and the judges will act as mentors to these talented home cooks as they fight for the title of MasterChef and the $250,000 grand prize.”
MasterChef’s Tommy Walton has an eye for design.
Tommy Walton, who was born in Chicago, was one of the strongest candidates in season 6. He was ousted, though, in a team pressure test in which he had to make a celebration plate. However, the 53-year-old afterward broadened his business and began creating. He had completed extensive design training before competing in the cooking program. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from DePaul University’s Goodman School of Drama in 1980. He attended the famous institution for four years and graduated in 1984.
Tommy joined the Price Walton CoutureLab as a designer soon after, in 1986. He worked for the company for three years before moving on to bigger chances. In 1989, the chef also worked as an instructor at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. He taught Accessories and Conceptual Object Design, and he still does. Walton made his television debut in season 6 of MasterChef USA in 2015. Despite the fact that he did not win the competition, he pleased everyone with his sense of humor and confidence.

After the competition, he returned to design, eventually becoming Chair of The Department of Design at The National Young Arts Foundation in Miami. Furthermore, in 2017, he was named brand ambassador for Daelmans Stroopwafels, the world’s top stroopwafel baker. Tommy Walton is well recognized now as a Creole Chef with a background in transdisciplinary Fashion Design and Visual Arts. The season 12 debut of the program will air on FOX on Wednesday, May 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
