In reality, Sami is younger than the sitcom, which is in its twenty-second season. Sami Layadi, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, has an odd career. Aside from being a regular participant on Survivor this season, he works as a pet cremator. Sami feels that his employment prepares him well for the competition. It puts him in a variety of scenarios where he interacts with people in various settings:
“Ability to incorporate me into settings such as my employment. When a pet dies, humans are at their lowest ebb. So, being able to converse and interact with people through these difficult and sad moments, I believe I’ve been able to delve into people’s feelings.”
In the game, he may use this talent to gauge his tribemates’ temperaments and navigate any difficult circumstance with grace and ease. He states:
“With ‘Survivor,’ I’m going to go out there and put on the greatest show I can.”
However, Sami Layadi is bothered by the fact that many regard him as arrogant due to his self-centeredness. He adds to this by saying:
“My eyes are beautiful. I adore my beautiful whites and my grin. My hair is gorgeous. All of it appeals to me. But I believe that if you speak to me, you’ll soon realize that there’s a lot more to me than the wall that my genetics and good looks may have erected. I am really concerned about people. So I’m hoping that at the conclusion of this game, people will remember me as one of the most charming kids they’ve ever encountered. Because that’s all I am in their eyes, a child. But I need to show that I’m much more than that.”
