Chef Ryan McKeown has always been enthusiastic about food, as seen by his Instagram profile, which is loaded with some great gourmet meals that would have anybody salivating. McKeown finished his schooling in Restaurant/Food Services Management at Penn State University before embarking on his professional culinary path in 2014.
He began his career as a sous chef at The Gothic Restaurant in Maine, where he worked for over two years. He was also working as a chef at Matthew Kenney Cuisine at the time, according to his LinkedIn page. McKeown then worked as a chef for Ocean Properties Hotels Resorts and Affiliates for about a year. In 2018, he became a private chef at Design 2BRT. According to NBCU, the Philadelphia native honed his abilities by working at his father’s pizzerias. McKeown has been in the yachting industry for five years and presently travels between Miami, Nashville, and Philadelphia for work.
McKeown will not be appearing on television for the first time. He had previously been on Today in Nashville, an entertainment and lifestyle program, while working as an executive chef at STK Steakhouse. When not experimenting with cuisine or cooking up novel recipes, the chef enjoys traveling, fishing, and trying out new adventure sports. Now, on Below Deck Down Under, the chef is ready to show off his incredible culinary talents by preparing some delectable meals for charter guests while dealing with personal difficulties with the yacht’s staff members.
