Preston Nguyen

Gordon Ramsay’s acclaimed cooking competition Next Level Chef is poised to return with a fresh new season. The show’s executive producer and mentor is the award-winning chef, television personality, and restaurateur. Season two of Next Level Chef will air on FOX on Sunday, February 12, 2023, immediately after the Super Bowl.  The famous reality TV cooking competition series will feature 13 new chefs competing against one other to reach the top. They will each be assigned a mentor who will guide them through the process. The candidates will participate in a three-story tournament with a unique concept. Preston Nguyen is one of the chefs participating in Next Level Chef season two.

Preston is not a new face in the culinary world. He was a World Food Champion at a young age and is now a freshman at Dallas College’s El Centro Campus. He graduated from Martin High School in Arlington in 2021. According to the official description for Next Level Chef season 2, the program is produced by Studio Ramsay Global and FOX Alternative Entertainment. Next Level Chef is described as the “next evolution in culinary contests.” Gordon Ramsay has created a one-of-a-kind culinary gauntlet set on a never-before-seen stage.

The summary continues:

“Each level of the three-story building has a strikingly diverse kitchen. The ingredients complement the atmosphere, from the gleaming top floor to the tough bottom of the basement, since Ramsay thinks that the ultimate measure of great chefs is not just what they can achieve in the greatest of conditions, but what sort of magic they can produce in the worst!”

Preston, from Season 2 of Next Level Chef, is a 19-year-old professional chef from Dallas.

Preston was born in Dallas, Texas, although he presently lives in Arlington, Texas. He’s created a reputation for himself in the culinary profession despite being just 19 years old. He earned $100,000 while participating in the World Food Championship as a sous chef alongside his parents. In addition, he has crowned the youngest winner in history. Southern Sunday Social was the name of his winning meal. According to the Dallas Morning News, the recipe featured the following ingredients:

“Hot honey-glazed fried quail lollipops, southern quail and dumplings, deviled quail eggs, Carolina boiled peanut caviar, Hoppin’ John rice, and thyme cornbread cake with peach butter.”
