Dancing Queens, a new reality TV program starring six dancer pals, will premiere on Bravo on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Pooja Mehta, a dancer and makeup artist, is one of the cast members. The Bravo newbie, 37, also has her own cosmetic shop in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Pooja was shown fighting with her husband Shimon Himovich in the Dancing Queens trailer, who claimed that her dancing clothes were improper. In response, she jokingly asked him whether she should dress up in a “full-on astronaut outfit.” In season 1 of the new program, the CEO will be shown operating her company as well as following her love for dancing.

Pooja Mehta married in a Jewish wedding ceremony.
Pooja Mehta, from Dancing Queens, will be a fresh face to Bravo viewers. Her personal and professional life will be examined in the reality program. Pooja, who resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, is of Hindu heritage and married to Shimon Himovich, a diamond trader. In 2015, the couple married in a Jewish ceremony. Dan and Yoavi, their two kids, are reared in both Hindu and Jewish traditions.
Pooja’s parents are physicians, but they never pressured her to follow in their footsteps. The Dancing Queens star was a lifelong dancer who was also interested in the cosmetics profession. As a result, she chose to attend J.P Fleurimon, a beauty and fashion school in Paris, France. Pooja launched her own beauty firm, Makiaj, in 2010, which has employed over 30 artists. Shimon, her husband, founded Finer Jewelry in 2022, just next to Makiaj. According to her Bravo profile, the reality TV actress defines herself as a “rebel” from a family of physicians. It goes on to say that the next reality show competitor has a thriving company.
It mentions that she is not the only dancer in her family and goes on to say:
“Dancing is a family affair for Pooja, her mother, and her sister, who all dance with Colette’s ex-pro partner, Kristijan Burazer.” Previously a rhythm champion, she just converted to Latin to fight with her family and show that she can triumph in their area as well.”
Pooja will demonstrate her ability in Dancing Queens while juggling her business and family life.
When does Dancing Queens debut on Bravo?
Dancing Queens premieres on Bravo on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET. It’s not your typical competition program, as the group will be training for their ballroom dancing championship with their individual pro-dance partners. Despite their personal troubles, the women will pursue their passion.
According to the show’s official comprehensive description:
“The series follows a group of women as they devote their time and money to vying for the top spots, respect, and recognition in the world of Pro-Am dance competitions.” “Pro-Am pairs amateur dancers with professional partners.”
It goes on to say:
“These highly skilled amateur dancers spend tens of thousands of dollars on their hair, makeup, and outfits, plus the expenses for their professional partners to practice, travel, and compete.”
The cast of the reality TV show will also feature Colette Marotto, Donnie Burch, Galle Benchetrit, Leonie Biggs, and Sabrina Strasser, in addition to Pooja Mehta. Dancing Queens will premiere new episodes on Bravo on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
