Former “America’s Got Talent” winner Michael Grimm has been brought to the hospital with an unexplained disease, according to his wife Lucie Zolcerova Grimm. On June 6, Zolcerova Grimm revealed in a sorrowful video uploaded on Grimm’s social media channels that the artist had been hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU) and placed on a ventilator due to an unexplained condition that was causing him to have movement issues among other symptoms.
“It’s been an emotional ride,” she told the audience. Grimm’s condition eventually led him to talk in “gibberish” and have tremors, according to his wife. His blood pressure was also “skyrocketing.” Grimm was taken to an ICU and “heavily” medicated before being placed on a ventilator so he wouldn’t “stroke out” or “flatline,” according to Zolcerova Grimm.
“The good news is that the doctors were able to remove the ventilator today, and he is breathing on his own,” she went on to say. So he’s doing fine. However, his body has been under a lot of strain over the last week. Doctors are still keeping him under anesthesia in case variations in his blood pressure lead him to collapse or seize.
