Nancy Drew season 4, starring Kennedy McMann, is set to premiere on May 31, 2023. The following season will be the mystery drama’s last season, which premiered on October 9, 2019. While the CW drama received mixed reviews from reviewers, consumers adored it. This prompted the show’s makers to produce a fourth and final season.
Kennedy McMann, who plays the titular character, is the show’s star. She is joined by Leah Lewis, who plays her former high school rival Georgia “George” Fayne, and Maddison Jaizani, who plays her coworker Bess Turani Marvin. Tunji Kasim plays Drew’s ex-boyfriend and former young convict/footballer Ned “Nick” Nickerson, while Alex Saxon plays Drew’s love interest Ace.
Kennedy McMann was a newcomer when she took on the lead in February 2019. Prior to Nancy Drew, she featured in one episode of Gone and one episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The former episode was titled Family Photo, and she portrayed a character called Sara Moreland. The Michigan native appeared as Carol Solomon in the Revenge episode of the crime drama TV series. Following these little roles, McMann received her first substantial break in Nancy Drew.

Kennedy McMann was a recent Carnegie Mellon School of Drama graduate when she was hired to helm The CW series. The young actress earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the theater school in Pittsburgh, where she met her now-husband Sam McInerney. McMann attended Skyline High School in Arizona before attending Carnegie. On November 12, 2013, while she was a senior, she and four other students were named Mesa Public Schools’ first Student of the Month.
Lisa McMann, her mother, is a novelist who wrote the dystopian fantasy books The Unwanteds and The Unwanteds Quests, as well as the WAKE trilogy for young readers. Kennedy McMann discussed her childhood Nancy Drew obsession with the Lansing State Journal in October 2019.
She claimed she has a long connection with Nancy Drew since she comes from a “super literary family.” Kennedy said that she grew up reading books since her mother is a novelist. After completing season 4 filming, the actress said that the project “completely changed my life.” She noted that she began the voyage when she was 22 and concluded it when she was 26 since she had grown up, married, and purchased a home. Kennedy also said that she had discovered herself and had experienced an “absolute childhood dream.” She described the event as an “incredible gift” that had entirely transformed her life.
The Nancy Drew star is represented by Buchwald, which has offices in New York City and Los Angeles. McMann appeared in the 2020 short film This Is Not A Love Letter, in addition to Gone, Law & Order: SVU, and Nancy Drew. She also appeared in two episodes of the Hulu TV show Tell Me Lies, among other things.
Kennedy McMann will appear in The Good Lawyer, a prospective spinoff of ABC’s The Good Doctor, following the amateur detective series. Felicity Huffman starred with her in an embedded pilot episode of the medical drama on March 13, 2023. Huffman, of Desperate Housewives and Transamerica fame, is a Primetime Emmy Award winner.
