Dance 100, Netflix’s newest dance challenge, will feature an unprecedented number of performers and directors. The competitors in the forthcoming series aren’t seeking to be the next best performer; they’re looking to be the next best director and earn $100,000. Keenan Kitchens from Boston is one of the candidates scheduled to participate in the forthcoming dance competition. Keenan is a rising dancer who has worked on several advertisements, including a BET and a GAP commercial. The season debut of Dance 100 will air on Friday, March 17, at 3:01 a.m. ET.

Keenan Kitchens, a Dance 100 competitor, worked as a “moving instructor” on an episode of Blindspot.
Keenan Kitchens is one of eight candidates selected for Netflix’s Dance 100. According to his Instagram profile, the future Dance 100 competitor has previously been attributed with collaborating with numerous musicians, including Cardi B, JLo, Kelly Rowland, Prince Royce, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Lizza Halsey, Dua Lipa, J Balvin, and BTS. According to his website, he has previously directed ads for BET and GAP, as well as serving as a “movement teacher” for an episode of Blindspot season 2.

“Cardi B’s first choreographer was Keenan. He choreographed Cardi’s first show, “The Underestimated Tour,” during his tenure with her. He also directed her first two award show appearances, which were at the MTV Video Music Awards and the BET Awards Aftershow.”

“Keenan has also worked with David Guetta, J Balvin, Bebe Rexha, Meek Mill, and Yo Gotti on choreography. He’s also worked as an associate dancer for Kelly Rowland and Lizzo. His dancing can be seen in Lizzo’s Made in America performance as well as her Saturday Night Live performance. Keenan has only recently started his work as a choreographer.”
The future Dance 100 competitor grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. He started performing when he was 14 years old and relocated to New York City in 2008 to seek a job as a performer. His work has brought him around the world, and he has taught in Japan, South Korea, China, Peru, Spain, Germany, France, Argentina, England, Italy, Switzerland, Israel, Canada, and South Africa.
The ensemble member works as a teaching member at Studio Broadway Dance Center in New York City and as a special faculty member at Movement Lifestyle and Millenium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. His courses as an instructor concentrate on “improving performance quality,” and he encourages his pupils to not only be open but also to find methods to connect dance and music to daily circumstances.
According to his Broadway Ballet Center bio:
“The class will begin with a warm-up that will include exercise as well as fundamental Hip-Hop rhythms featured throughout Keenan’s routines. You will be encouraged to integrate personality, acting, accuracy, and rhythm while learning the routines in class. Keenan’s courses are HIGH ENERGY, so dress appropriately.”
Rudy Garcia, Brandi Chun, Rex Kline, Akira Armstrong, Celine Edmondson, Max Pham, and Janick Arseneau are among those who have joined the Netflix program.
According to Netflix’s news statement, the program will be:
“There could be 100 performers in a room… but it will take all of them to determine who will be the next great director. Every motion counts in the upcoming competition series Dance 100, which premieres on March 17.”
Dance 100’s season debut will be on Netflix on Friday, March 17.
