Meet Dominique Blanchette Jessica Dube’s Husband
Dube has been blissfully married to Dominique Blanchette for quite some time. The duo is said to have been dating since 2021. The pair are now living in Montreal, Canada. Dube relocated there after retiring from figure skating. Blanchette, Jessica’s husband, works as a Collective Person Insurance Advisor for the organization VotreConseiller.net – Assurance Collective Inc. He is also responsible for Protexio’s Business Development. He was born on August 21, although his exact age has yet to be revealed to the public. Blanchette seems to be someone who values her family highly. His Facebook page is crammed with photos of his family.
Her spouse enjoys going for walks on the beach, especially on less traveled shorelines. Elsie, the couple’s baby daughter, was born in June 2023, bringing enormous pleasure to their family. Kariane Mallet is their daughter’s godmother. Dube’s spouse adores her, and the two are inseparable. They are often seen together, whether on vacation or at family gatherings.
The Cut on Her Face That Nearly Ended Her Career
Figure skating, as lovely as it may seem, is a highly hazardous sport. Dube was sliced in the face by her partner Davidson’s skate on February 8, 2007. The incident happened as the couple was doing the side-by-side flying camel. Both skaters must spin side by side on one leg while the other leg is extended. This happens when the razor-sharp blades, which are just an eighth of an inch broad, rotate at a mind-boggling 60 miles per hour. Davison stepped in too close on the third revolution of the flying camel, and his skate sliced Dube directly below the left eye.
It was a horrible sight to see the left half of her face slashed from the nose nearly to the ear. The skater had around 83 stitches to keep her face together. She did, however, return to skating after just 10 days. She had a hideous scar on her face at the time, but she refused to be embarrassed by it.
