Strictly Come Dancing is returning for another season with a varied and outstanding group of superstars prepared to compete in the ballroom and Latin dance competitions. 15 celebrities and their professional partners will hit the stage to wow the judges with their dancing routines and glitz as they compete to the top. Among the 15 celebrities is a well-known comedian whose participation honors her sister. Jayde Adams, who has only ever danced with her sister, is eager to re-enter the dance floor. While the play may be many things to many people, it is about Jayde remembering her sister Jenna, whom she lost over a decade ago.
Jenna Adams was an important part of Jayde’s life and continues to inspire and influence her. Jenna was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor at the age of 23 after suffering a seizure. She struggled for six years before dying in 2011. Strictly Come Dancing will run on BBC One on September 23 at 2 p.m. ET/7 p.m. BST.
Jayde Adams was motivated to compete on Strictly Come Dancing by her late sister.
Celebrities will compete in Strictly Come Dancing to see who can dance the best. Jayde Adams, a comedian, is one such star who wishes to utilize the platform to honor her older sister, Jenna.
When asked about her sister’s death, she told The Guardian:
“Kane, my brother, had called me 17 times – he never calls. When I reached him, he informed me that Jenna had fallen into a fit. It occurred in the automobile when my father was driving, and he had to transport her to the hospital.”
December
The Strictly Come Dancing actress went on to discuss her sister’s sickness, recalling how physicians removed a little more than 50% of the brain tumor during the biopsy and how, as a result of the trauma, “she was different thereafter.” Jayde began performing standup because of Jenna, who had asked her if she could start making everyone laugh while she was in the hospital.
Jayde continued:
“I began cracking jokes. I haven’t stopped writing since.”
Jayde’s pain and loss had an impact on her career, and she went on to become one of Britain’s best female comedians, winning the Funny Woman Award in 2014. She has subsequently presented a number of programs. Growing up, the sisters enjoyed dancing together and competed in dance events, one of which being freestyle disco dancing. For 13 years, she competed in dancing alongside her sister at her aunt’s dance studio in Bristol. Jayde had not danced with anybody else since the death of her sister until today. She will compete in Season 20 of Strictly Come Dancing, and she feels her sister is “orchestrating everything” for her.
In an interview with The Mirror, she stated:
“It’s all so coincidental. It’s a really emotional experience for me.”
Jayde went on to say:
“I can’t even begin to convey how grateful I am; this means so lot to me and my family.”
