Mike Sellers’ wife, Jane Sellers, married the former footballer in 2010. The footballer-turned-coach recently disclosed that his family needs assistance while he battles heart disease. Jane has established a campaign for her husband since he is no longer able to care for their family. Mike Sellers, a former NFL and CFL player, started his professional career with the Edmonton Elks in 1995.
Mike played for two NFL teams: the Washington Commanders and the Cleveland Browns. He entered the NFL with the Commanders in 1998 and played three seasons before joining the Browns. He returned to the NFL in 2004 with the Commanders and stayed with them until 2011. Sellers worked as a running back coach at IMG Academy until his health worsened.

Mike Sellers’ wife, Jane Sellers, is a competitive bodybuilder who has competed in many events in recent years. Jane, a fitness enthusiast like her husband, used to publish videos to her YouTube account Cooking With Plain Jane. In 2018, Jane competed in the NPC Tampa Bay Classic, and a few photographs of her looking utterly shredded are accessible online. Mike had already posted several bodybuilder images of Jane on his Facebook page. Jane Sellers, the former NFL player’s wife, graduated from Hillsborough Community College and attended TR Robinson Senior High School. She formerly worked as a paraprofessional at Sumner High School and has taken a leave of absence owing to her husband’s recent medical concerns. In addition to being a para-professional, Jane is the CEO of Balloon Art by Plain Jane. She has a second Instagram page for her work balloon artwork, which she started last January.
Jane had just launched a GoFundMe campaign to help Mike’s medical expenditures as a result of his recent illness. She added, “For the last six months, Mike has been in and out of one of the greatest hospitals in the country: Tampa General Hospital. We discovered that my spouse had a long path to recovery. Mike has had nine cardiac treatments throughout this trip. He is no longer capable of providing for our family.
She went on to say,
“As his wife, I choose to be the one to take care and nurse him back to being the fun-loving, caring father, husband, brother, son, friend, and coach.”
The Sellers family has set a target of $100,000, with $77k donated thus far.
Mike and Jane Are Parents of Three Children
The athletic couple has raised three children, two of whom are adolescents. Jane listed the three children on her GoFundMe page, one of whom is an adult. In July 2018, Jane posted a photo of herself and Mike exchanging marital vows. The photograph was released on their seventh wedding anniversary, with the words “2010” scribbled on it. Jane has published many family photos on Facebook, including one taken on a football field.
Previously, Jane and Mike’s two adolescent children were seen at the Washington Commanders’ stadium. Mike, a former Commanders player, had clothed his children in the famed burgundy and gold jerseys. Mike’s oldest daughter, Kaylin, most certainly came from a prior relationship. He addressed Kaylin in an interview with the Daily Press in 2006.
