Johnson’s contract has not yet been finalized, but she may be cast as the lead in the S.J. Clarkson-directed film written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

Sony has picked up the contract for its first female-led comic book adaptation, and Johnson is allegedly being sought to play the part.
Johnson’s casting as a blind and crippled lady has sparked outrage on the internet. Dakota is clearly neither blind or old, thus many MCU fans and people with disabilities are disappointed that an able-bodied actor will be stealing a role away from a handicapped actor once again.
