On the most recent episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Alicia Keys and her “true sister,” Brandi Carlile, gushed about their friendship.
Alicia appeared as a special guest on Carlile’s show. The two musicians have even collaborated on A Beautiful Noise, which has been nominated for a Grammy. Their friendship, however, extends beyond the confines of the studio.
Who Is Brandie Carlile
Brandi is a well-known singer and music producer from the United States.
She has been nominated for 18 Grammys and has released seven studio albums. The singer received the most nominations for a female artist at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
Brandi’s music spans several genres, including rock, country, and folk. Among her most well-known songs are The Eye, Every Time I Hear That Song, That Wasn’t Me, and The Joke.
She and Alicia released their collaboration, A Beautiful Noise, in October 2020, and it is now nominated for Song of the Year at the upcoming Grammys.
Brandi is married to Catherine Shepherd, with whom she has two daughters.
Alicia Keys Call Brandi Her “True Sister”
Alicia and Brandi both mentioned that they’d discovered true sisterhood through their friendship.
“I was telling everyone earlier that we’ve really only been getting to know each other for the last couple of years, but we’ve really grown to sort of becoming sisters,” Brandi said.
“With you, Brandi, I feel like I’ve met someone who is such a true sister,” Alicia added. I can call you and say, ‘Hey,’ and you can call me and say, ‘Hey,’ and we’ll both show up. It’s a very rare occurrence, so I treasure it.”
Brandi also played a home video of her two daughters singing Alicia’s Girl on Fire, revealing that the singer is a big fan of theirs.
Viewers Want Brandi To Have Her Own Show
Brandi wowed viewers so much as a guest host that they wanted her to host her own talk show.
“I usually skip Ellen when there’s a guest host,” one tweeted. But with Brandi Carlile AND Alicia Keys, I couldn’t help but pay attention.”
