Antonia Lofaso, a popular chef, is scheduled to participate in Superchef Grudge Match, which will air on Food Network on February 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Darnell Ferguson, a prominent chef, restaurateur, and co-host of “Worst Cooks in America” and Tournament of Champions, will host the event.

The 46-year-old will be joined by many other culinary industry veterans in Superchef Grudge Match, which is all about resolving long-standing feuds between competing chefs who have personal and commercial disagreements. The competing chefs will get the opportunity to resolve their disputes once and for all in a single round to bury the hatchet and determine who is the finest chef of them all. The winner of the forthcoming program will get lifelong rights to gloat about their victory over their opponent, a lucrative monetary award, and much more.

The Food Network’s official summary of Lofaso’s spat with competitor chef Jet Tila on the program may be read as follows:

“In the season premiere, Darnell invites Chefs Antonia Lofaso and Jet Tila to resolve their ‘Tournament of Champions’ feud — the two were deadlocked in every category until Jet won a rematch in the finals by one point. Antonia is keen to restore order in the cosmos since she has traditionally won, whereas Jet is eager to preserve his victory.

Chef Antonia Lofaso, of Italian-American ancestry, is most known for her efforts on Top Chef season 4. (2008). On Top Chef: All Stars (2010) and Top Chef Duels (2011), she demonstrated her culinary skills with her tough Italian personality (2014). Antonia Lofaso opened Scopa – Italian Roots in 2013, and it was a big hit. The chef’s interpretation of classic Italian food has been lauded as one of Los Angeles’ top country-based restaurants. Lofaso took the tough choice to quit Spago and seek a new experience after mastering the cuisine.

Antonia Lofaso’s career took off when she started her new job at LA’s supper restaurant, Foxtail, when Bravo recruited her for season 4 of their highly popular culinary competition program, Top Chef. In addition to her restaurant and television experience, she also works as a private chef for some of Hollywood’s greatest celebs, which she adds to her skill set. Lofaso teamed with Penguin in 2012 to create The Busy Mom’s Cookbook: 100 Recipes for Quick, Delicious, Home-cooked Meals, which also recounted the challenges she experienced while attending the elite French Culinary Institute and caring for her kid.

Her television credits include appearances as a judge on CNBC’s Restaurant Startup and recurring parts on The Food Network’s Man v. Child, Real O’Neals, Grocery Games, Supermarket Stakeout, Chopped, and Cutthroat Kitchen, among others. Lofaso was in a romantic relationship with Jamaican-born rapper Heavy D, with whom he had a daughter called Xea Myers in 2000. The 46-year-old and her lone kid depended on one another throughout their terrible time of bereavement when Heavy D died of a pulmonary embolism (real name Dwight Arrington Myer).

Lofaso described the rapper’s death as a “whirlwind,” and the chef earlier indicated that she was distraught. The latter is now residing in Los Angeles with her 22-year-old daughter. Lofaso just made the move from television celebrity to the business owner. She is presently the executive chef and owner of Black Market in Studio City, California, which she founded in 2011 alongside Mario Guddemi and Sal Aurora.
