Trev Alberts, an American sports executive and former football player, is happily married to Angela Alberts. The couple has three lovely children: two girls and an older son, all of whom are now adults and working. The Albert family has seen many lows and highs in life, but they have always stayed close. Trev Kendall Alberts is the director of athletics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a former football player. Alberts received the Dick Butkus Award and the Jack Lambert Trophy as a senior during his college career. In addition, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
Trev was chosen fifth overall in the 1994 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts after his college accomplishments. However, the linebacker only played three seasons in the NFL before retiring with the Colts after the 1996 season due to injuries. After leaving the NFL, Alberts was recruited by CNN/SI and its Sports Illustrated magazine as a college football correspondent.
Trev also joined ESPN as an in-studio college football commentator in 2002. Later, in 2006, he worked as a columnist for the CSTV website. The former NFL standout is now the Athletic Director at his alma mater, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He had previously worked there as the director of athletics.

Angela Dewire, Trev Alberts’ wife, was born on March 16, 1970, in Omaha, Nebraska. Angela was raised in a family of six siblings. Steve A. Dewire, her late father, was married to Cheryl Wence, his second wife. Dewire, a die-hard Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Tigers fan, died in 2015 after retiring as a truck driver in Hamilton, Indiana. Angela, the famous wife, is also a very private person. She typically avoids the limelight and is seldom seen in public.
Trev met Angela for the first time in 1991, during his undergraduate stint with the Huskers. Four years later, on February 18, 1996, shortly before he retired from professional football, the pair married in Indiana. Mrs. Alberts, despite her reserved nature, has been a dedicated mother and a supporting wife. She has been at almost all of Trev’s major career-turning moments.

Ashtynne, the second-born, is a former collegiate athlete like her father. She attended Clemson University and played volleyball before graduating with an accounting degree in 2021. Ashtynne just got engaged to her Costco Executive Member boyfriend, Riley Smith. Breanna, Trev’s youngest daughter, was born in 2004 and is presently enrolled at Clemson University. Breanna was also there, along with Angela and Trev, during the press conference announcing Trev’s hiring as athletic director at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
