Dylan Disu is from Pflugerville, Texas, where his parents, Michelle and Rodney, reared him and his four siblings.
Dylan’s basketball path echoes his mother’s athletic background since Michelle was a basketball player in college. Dylan started his basketball career as a senior at Hendrickson High School, following in his mother’s footsteps.
He demonstrated his abilities there, averaging outstanding stats and winning the MVP award. Dylan committed to playing collegiate basketball for Vanderbilt after receiving offers from numerous other colleges. Dylan had career highs of 29 points and 16 rebounds in a game against Kentucky in February 2021, but his season was cut short by a knee injury.
Despite the setback, Dylan’s skill shined through, and he continued to thrive. Dylan later opted to transfer to the University of Texas, calling it his “dream school growing up.” He graduated from Texas with a BA in Human Dimensions of Organizations in Spring 2023 and is now enrolled in the Sport Management Graduate Program.
Dylan Disu’s Parents Are Father Rodney and Mother Michelle Anderson
Dylan Disu comes from an athletic background, with both of his parents having participated in sports as children. His father, Rodney Anderson, played football at Texas A&M University (now Texas A&M Kingsville). At the same time, his mother exhibited her basketball and volleyball skills at William Penn University in Iowa.
Dylan’s basketball talents, although having athletic origins on both sides, are most likely derived from his mother, Michelle. Dylan showed a strong interest in basketball as he got older, and his mother played an important part in helping him succeed. Michelle’s approach to teaching her son was harsh and regimented, but it eventually helped Dylan grow as a basketball player.
Michelle focused on her professional efforts after finishing her undergraduate athletics career. She presently works as a Commercial Real Estate Agent at Beck Reit Commercial Real Estate and has been Tribeshopatx’s Chief Financial Officer since April 2020. In addition, she is a partner of Friedman Consulting, which specializes in forensic accounting and litigation consulting. Dylan’s father, Rodney, worked as a Lieutenant with the Austin Independent School District Police Department. He was in the force for 24 years.
Dylan Disu Has Four Siblings
Dylan was reared in Texas with his four siblings. He has an older stepsister, Breonna Anderson, two younger twin sisters, Megan and Madison Disu, and a younger brother, Aidan Disu. He has three younger siblings, Madison, Megan, and Aidan Disu, as well as an older stepsister, Breonna Anderson, from his father’s previous relationship. Madison and Megan participate in high school basketball with Dylan.
Meanwhile, Dylan’s younger brother, Aidan Disu, a 6-foot-6 power forward, attends Buda Hays High School. According to 247Sports, he is now navigating the recruiting process as a member of the Class of 2025, with attention from numerous universities such as SMU, Texas A&M, and the University of Texas.
