When it comes to Ben Gregg’s parents, his father is Matt Gregg and his mother is Kori Gregg. His father and mother have been married for almost two decades. Similarly, Ben has two brothers called Patrick Gregg and Jordon Gregg. They are regularly seen cheering on his performance. He was born near Portland, Oregon, where his whole family lived. His family is White, and they are all citizens of the United States.
While Kori played volleyball for the LCSC, Matt Gregg has teaching experience, having worked at Post Falls and Freeman High before becoming the women’s head coach at Warner-Pacific in Portland thirteen years ago. Ben Gregg’s parents have been his inspiration and driving force, and his family is very supportive of his basketball career. Matt’s coaching expertise may have inspired Ben’s enthusiasm for basketball and desire to compete. Because he constantly interacted with the players while acting as the water boy for his father’s club, the 21-year-old got a knowledge of basketball at an early age.
He would listen intently while his father delivered advice to the squad and then apply them to his own game. Ben Gregg was reared in Spokane by his parents, and he learnt the game from his father. He subsequently moved to Oregon when he was seven years old, and the bulk of his family, including his uncle Grody and his three children, still lives there. With such a strong and loving family on his side, Ben definitely has the foundation to thrive both on and off the basketball court.
Ben Gregg’s Career
Ben has been seeing his father, Matt Gregg, play basketball and teach the game to the players since he was a child. He has also served as the team’s water boy during games. So it’s fair to assume that his father inspired him to like the game and pursue it as a profession. Ben used to compete in basketball tournaments at Clackamas High School in Portland. In September, at the age of 18, he verbally committed to Gonzaga, expecting he would attend the famous Spokane college the next year.
Nonetheless, he was encouraged to join the Zags for the 2021 season by the team’s assistant coach. To graduate from high school, he had to finish the full semester in just six weeks. He increased his workouts to become college-ready while still studying, which accelerated the process and helped him to become the best he could be. As a consequence, at the end of December, he was on the national team’s first team. During his first season, he appeared in 18 games, playing 55 minutes and scored 17 points to help the team overcome San Diego. He also played 108 minutes in 17 games during his freshman season, including a season-high 12 against Alcorn.
