Nikko Remigio’s parents, Mark and Jennifer, originally met in Santa Ana, California, in 1988, where they fell in love and married. Nikko’s successes are largely due to his parents’ belief in him and ongoing support. His parents are no longer together, but their love for Nikko remains strong. Despite receiving offers from top institutions such as USC and Wisconsin, he elected to continue his collegiate football career in California, committing to the team in 2017. Following the 2023 NFL Draft, Remigio signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, his rookie season was cut short when he suffered a shoulder injury during preseason practice, landing him on the injured reserve list after being waived/injured on August 29, 2023. Despite this setback, Remigio’s promise was clear throughout the preseason, when he demonstrated his abilities and wowed many. Remigio is a Filipino-American rookie wide receiver who is presently on injured reserve for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Nikko Remigio’s Parents Are Father Mark and Mother Jennifer Remigio
Nikko and his two younger brothers were reared in Orange County by his parents, Mark and Jennifer Remigio. Remigio’s parents come from varied origins and have had an exciting journey together. Jennifer, his mother, is half Black and half White and is from Pontiac, Michigan. She has a Filipino heritage. Nikko’s father, Mark, was born in Seattle, Washington, and reared in Southern California.

When it came time to return to Michigan, Jennifer chose to remain with Mark and marry. They welcomed their first child, Nikko, in 1999. He credits much of his success to his parents’ constant support and confidence in him throughout his life.
Nikko Remigio’s Ethnicity
Nikko Remigio has a very broad background. He identifies as a Filipino-Black American. His mom was born in America. She is the daughter of a Filipino mother and a black American father. She has a mixed background herself. Nikko’s father is from Washington. Nikko experienced problems as a mixed child growing up. He said, “It’s as if you’re too Black for the white kids and too white for the black kids. And so you aren’t Filipino since you’re just half.” Over time, he began to embrace his heritage, feeling more comfortable in his skin and recognizing that he was unique because he was mixed.
Brother Nino Is an Aspiring Football Player
Nino Remigio is Nikko’s younger brother. Nino, like Nikko, grew up playing football and today plays wide receiver for San Diego State. Nino, who is 5’11, graduated from Mater Dei High School.
