The dancing pair, Luis Colon and Michelle Burgos, will compete in The Amazing Race 2022 on CBS on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 10 p.m. ET, among 11 other candidates for a $1 million cash prize. In season 34, 12 teams will visit new nations such as Spain, Iceland, Austria, Italy, France, Nashville, and others. The show’s synopsis is as follows:
“The program also travels to Jordan’s historic city of Petra, where teams will ride a train through a scenario reminiscent of the 1963 Oscar-winning film “Lawrence of Arabia,” perform a Jordanian traditional dance and learn the Arabic alphabet.” There will also be no non-elimination legs for the first time in THE AMAZING RACE history.”
It goes on to say:
“With one team eliminated at the conclusion of each leg, it will be one of the most arduous races in the show’s history, and teams will be in for a surprise when presenter Phil Keoghan reveals a game-changing aspect in the first leg of the race,” says the show’s website.

The Amazing Race season 34’s Luis Colon and Michelle Burgos
Luis and Michelle, a married couple of 34 years, are from Miami, Florida. Luis is a fireman, and Michelle is a professional Pitbull dancer. According to Michelle’s LinkedIn page, the “assistant choreographer, professional dancer, and experienced dance instructor” earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Radio, Television, and Digital Communication from Barry University. She began her career as a Freelancer at TodoBebe in 2011, before moving on to work as a professional dancer at Univision in 2002. She is also an Assistant Choreographer at Shalom Talent Inc., where she has worked since 2009.
Luis and Michelle grew up in Florida and first met 12 years ago. They are known as “the wild pair” since they both like having fun and enjoy dancing and traveling together. Six years ago, the pair married. Luis stunned his wedded bride by mimicking “Pitbull” for two songs during their wedding. Michelle is going to “retire as a Pitbull dancer,” therefore the pair hopes to raise a baby soon. They are currently competing in The Amazing Race in order to take on new challenges and tasks. They are, however, only want to “enjoy their adventure” and have fun while expecting to “bring some money home.” If they win the money, Luis wants to do something nice for their parents, who have always been there for them.

Season 34 of The Amazing Race begins on Wednesday, with 12 new teams eager to take on every obstacle throughout the world. The event will also include father and daughter Linton and Sharik, newlyweds Glenda and Lumumba, golf friends Rex Ryan and Tim Mann, soon-to-be-married pair Aastha and Nina, motivational speakers Rich and Dom, and high school sweethearts Will and Abby. The Amazing Race returns to CBS on Wednesday for a brand-new season.
