Lil Jordan Humphrey’s parents, Keith and Chevette Humphrey, are Texas natives. The couple has four children, Lil Jordan being the youngest. Lil Jordan, the Broncos wide receiver, is not little. He may be the youngest member of the family, but it does not explain his nickname, Lil Jordan. There is another tale behind this. In 2019, the 6’6 athlete made his NFL debut with the New Orleans Saints. However, he never seemed to fit in with the squad. In 2022, he joined with Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots.
He only participated in six games with the Patriots before signing with the Broncos earlier this year. He has 11 catches for 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns, the most recent coming against the Lions.
Lil Jordan Humphrey’s Parents: Meet Keith and Chevette.
Keith and Chevette Humphrey, Lil Jordan Humphrey’s parents, have always encouraged their youngest son to participate in athletics. His mother, Chevette, wanted him to be a basketball player. Lil Jordan aspired to be a basketball player and, more likely, to be as well-known as the guy whose name he shares. However, fate had other plans for him. Chevette came up with the moniker “Lil Jordan”. Terry, LJ’s brother, wanted his brother to be called Michael Jordan, but Chevette did not want to use the name precisely. So she dubbed her kid Lil Jordan.
In an interview with 247Sports, Chevette said, “We were trying to speak it into existence.” But Lil Jordan did not remain little. Chevette is 5’9, and her husband, Keith, is 6′, yet the wide receiver grew to reach 6’6. LJ’s passion for football developed while watching SportsCenter with his father. The father-son combo would watch game clips, and LJ would point out which way the runner should cut before it happened.
At the age of nine, his passion for athletics and athleticism inspired him to practice with his father. LJ and Terry would run two miles in the morning before doing one hour of P90X. Chevette goes by Queenc Humphrey on Facebook and has posted a few family photos. Keith has tweeted photos of his kid practicing with his team, as well as news of his son’s signing with the Denver Broncos. He captioned the photo, “Lol, same story,” expressing displeasure that Lil couldn’t get a spot on one team. Later in the comments, Keith added, “Yeah, he’ll be OK. They keep him till he reaches his peak.”
Lil Jordan Humphrey’s Siblings
The wide receiver is the younger of four siblings. However, his siblings have opted to keep him out of the public spotlight. His brother, Terry Michael, who wanted Lil Jordan to be called after Michael Jordan, resides in Dallas, Texas. Terry’s Facebook page has various photos of his family attending football events. The majority of those photos, however, were taken when Lil Jordan was still playing for the University of Texas. Lil Jordan has another sibling, Devontae Humphrey-Wade. Devontae resides in Houston, Texas, and works as an insurance claims adjuster. He also works as a property manager and was previously employed as a retail supervisor. Lil Jordan has not posted many family photos on social media and has sought to keep his personal life out of the public eye.
