Payne Haas’ Mother Is Now in Jail.
Uiatu “Joan” Taufua is now in jail on three counts of homicide, as well as accusations of hazardous operation of a motor vehicle, avoiding police, driving without a license, and mid-range drink-driving. Zeda Haas, Payne Haas’s brother, was detained on Tuesday on suspicion of trying to import $1 million worth of ice from Queensland into New South Wales. Ice, often known as crystal meth, is a kind of methamphetamine that is comparable to but purer than speed. It may be very addictive and harmful to people’s health, particularly if taken often.
Zeda, 19, and Kaharau Beer were apprehended at Beresfield, 22 kilometers west of New Castle. Both were stopped on Apprentice Close in a Beresfield industrial area, where police reported discovering around $1.1 million in drugs. On Wednesday, Haas and Beer appeared in Maitland Local Court and were both denied bail. Zeda was rushed to Gold Coat Hospital in severe condition a few months before for a heroin overdose with his pals.
