Georgia Harrison Juvaughn’s mother, Georgia, is an excellent athlete in her own right. She has an outstanding track record, having competed for Alabama A&M University from 1993 to 1996. In her prime, she was one of the top track and field athletes in the country. Throughout her career, she won gold medals in a variety of track events, including the 400m dash and 400m intermediate hurdles.

Dennis Blake (born September 6, 1970), Juvaughn’s father, is a former sprinter with an exceptional sports record filled with accolades and accomplishments. Dennis, an Olympic winner and nine-time All-American, was named SIAC Most Valuable Player and awarded the Abbott Award. Similarly, he won a silver medal alongside three other players in the 1995 Pan American Games in Argentina.
Moreover, the Alabama A&M University alumni received various distinctions and accolades throughout his academic career. His many athletic accomplishments earned him entry into the AAMU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. Following his retirement, he chose a new professional path outside of athletics.
