Nicole Remy’s quest for love is chronicled on NBC’s The Courtship. In the first episode, viewers were introduced to 16 suitors competing for the lead’s love. They must not only impress her but also her trusty court, which includes her father Claude, mother Claire, sister Danie, and closest friend Tessa.
With the conclusion of the second episode and the remaining 13 suitors, it was time for a few more to depart the castle and return home. Peter Saffa, also known as Mr. Saffa, was one of Remy’s suitors who was ousted from the program. But this wasn’t your typical eviction. He did pursue his interest in the castle, but not with the main character, but rather with her closest friend Tessa, and so was removed.
The Courtship lead eliminated three suitors in the first episode: Caleb Ward, Lewis Echavarria, and Jarrett Schanzer. This was followed by Chandler Luxe and Derek Kressler.
Fans Respond To Mr. Saffa, The Courtship Suitor
Fans were stunned by the unexpected change of events and rushed to social media to voice their displeasure.
Mr. Saffa Isn’t Here For The Proper Reasons
The suitors were playing a nice game of cricket with the lead, Nicole Remy, in episode 3 of The Courtship when Nicole’s sister received information about one of the suitors not on the program falling in love with the lead. Remy chose to face Mr. Saffa during the final dance and elimination after learning of the truth. She stated, ”
“I have to be honest with you; I am aware of the situation. You’re not here for me, I’m sure. I heard you’re interested in my pal.”
She continued to explain to Mr. Saffa why she felt compelled to keep him safe last week because of his relationship with her parents.
“It’s alright if you don’t like me, but there was a guy who was sent home last week because he had emotions for me, and it was quite difficult to send him home. And the fact that I retained you broke my heart since you made my parents feel special by taking them on that boat date. I was under the impression that you had come to see me. To be honest, I’m a little irritated.”
As The Courtship Lead requested Mr. Saffa for any final thoughts or comments before departing the castle, the rest of the suitors remained stunned. The suitor acknowledged that he was there for her sister and stated:
“That’s really all I have to say. I hope and pray that you find the man of your dreams. I am grateful for your time.”
What shocked the suitors and the audience the most was when Mr. Saffa approached Tessa before departing and requested her phone number. Danie became enraged and pulled him towards the main door, escorting him.
The drama appears to be becoming more intense with each episode. Only nine suitors are left to compete for Nicole Remy on The Courtship after additional eliminations. Viewers will have to wait until next week to find out where the protagonist’s quest takes her.
