Best in Dough will have pizza aficionados from across the world competing to show who has the best recipe and win $10,000. Is It Cake? makers are returning with a hot food-centric program centered on the most-loved cuisine ever – pizzas. Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams will host the new Hulu program and force the candidates to partake in activities they will not like. In the show’s trailer, Wells informs the participants that they must prepare a pizza cupcake, which annoys one nonna. Each episode will feature three pizza makers, and the first episode will pit three Italian grandmothers against each other for the prize money.
The show’s synopsis is as follows:
“There is one great unifier in a world when there seems to be little consensus on anything… the worldwide love of pizza. Best In Dough brings together pizza-obsessed participants from all walks of life to compete for a $1,000 prize by showcasing their pizza-slinging talents. The world’s first pizza tournament has begun!”
Chef Millie Peartree, comedian and culinary influencer Eunji Kim, and baker Bryan Ford will judge the program, which will be hosted by Adams. Meanwhile, the contest’s top judge will be Chef Daniele Uditi.

Former Bachelorette competitor and franchise favorite bartender Well Adams will host the first-ever pizza challenge. Before becoming famous on television, the 38-year-old California native worked at a radio station. In addition, she co-hosts the Your Favorite Thing podcast with Brandi Cyrus. After deferring their wedding for two years due to the pandemic, Adams just married Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland in August 2022. The pair have been dating since 2017. The Best in Dough host, a great gentleman, sought Sarah’s parents’ approval before proposing to her in 2019.
Wells is a passionate animal lover who often volunteers with the Nashville Humane Association, which helps animals find loving homes. When asked about his affinity for dogs, he stated:
“Dogs have an unusual capacity to detect your emotions. They are excellent in soothing you when you aren’t feeling well or matching your emotions when you are. It’s strange how perceptive these creatures are.”
Adams’ favorite cuisine is pizza, so it only seems right for him to host a program that celebrates people’s enthusiasm for the dish he loves. In an interview with People, he discussed Best in Dough and expressed his excitement for people to see the program.
He went on to say:
“I can honestly say that I’ve never had so much fun (or acquired so much weight) as I did while working on Best in Pizza. Hosting was an absolutely wonderful job! In a world where no one can agree on anything, we can all agree on one thing: pizza is the finest, and this program is a giant slice of paradise.”
Best in Dough will debut on Hulu with a three-episode launch and will be followed by three more episodes on Mondays.
