Belo has spoken and lectured for a number of organizations in the Philippines and abroad, including the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons in Washington, D.C.; the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery in Portland, Oregon; the World Congress on Liposuction Surgery in Pasadena, California; the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery; and the International Farmstead Convention on Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (Quantum SR): Asian Experience in Frankfurt, Germany.
Belo is also an outspoken supporter of medical tourism in the Philippines. She founded The Philippine National Society of Liposuction Surgery. Belo is the CEO and medical director of the Belo Medical Group, which owns and runs 15 medical clinics around Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao. The Belo Medical Group is the Philippines’ first recognized ambulatory cosmetic surgery center, with certification from the Philippine Department of Health (DOH) and endorsement from the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT). Belo Medical Group became the country’s first ambulatory clinic to get international certification from the National Accreditation Board of Hospitals and Healthcare Providers in 2013. (NABH). In 2016, their accreditation was renewed. It is still the only clinic in the Philippines to have won this honor.
