CNN presenter Van Jones and his buddy Noemi Zamacona just had a daughter. According to the political pundit, the couple chose to become “conscious co-parents” and “combined forces” to welcome a kid together. Jones spoke to TMZ about his unique family plans and expressed hope that other individuals will choose the same arrangement in the future:
“After the COVID lockdown, I knew I wanted another child.” I realized that my buddy Noemi desired a child as well. As a result, we decided to band together and become aware co-parents. It’s a thought that I hope more people would investigate and consider.”
The Emmy winner also expressed his “gratefulness” for the arrival of a girl and disclosed that he and Zamacona would raise the kid as co-parenting partners:
“We brought a baby girl to Earth last month, whom we will raise as co-parenting partners.” For our families, this is a wonderful moment. “I am thankful, glad, and fortunate.”
Van Jones and his ex-wife Jana Carter, the niece of former US President Jimmy Carter, have two further children. The couple married in 2005 and had two kids, Mattai and Cabral, together. However, after 14 years of marriage, they decided to divorce in 2019.
After his daughter was born, sources close to Jones verified to TMZ that he is not romantically connected with Zamacona. According to reports, the couple has a “contemporary arrangement” and describes themselves as a “team” that intends to raise a kid jointly.
