Uma Pemmaraju A News Anchor Passed Away At The Age Of 64

Uma Pemmaraju, a 64-year-old Fox News anchor, died on August 8 at the age of 64. Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, expressed her sorrow by stating:

“We are very grieved by the passing of Uma Pemmaraju, who was one of the original anchors of FOX News Channel and began broadcasting the day we went on the air. Uma was renowned for the generosity she showed to everyone she worked with, in addition to her journalistic abilities. Our deepest sympathies go out to her whole family.”

The reason for Pemmaraju’s death has not been disclosed, and funeral details are not known at this time.

 

Uma Pemmaraju was a founding member of Fox News.

Uma was born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India, on March 31, 1958. She was up in San Antonio, Texas, where she attended Trinity University and received a Bachelor of Arts in political science. She studied international relations for a year at American University as part of an exchange program with Trinity University.

During the early phases of her career, Pemmaraju joined KENS-TV and the San Antonio Express-News as a producer and reporter, respectively. She was the editor of her undergraduate newspaper before becoming a news anchor and reporter for KTVT-11. She then worked for WMAR-TV in Baltimore, WLVI, and WBZ-TV in Boston. She was a producer and reporter for WBZ’s Evening Magazine.

She then rose to prominence as the host and anchor of America’s News Headquarters with Uma Pemmaraju on Fox News. Additionally, she was a reporter for Bloomberg News. She was a part of the Fox News crew in October 1996, when the network debuted. She presented a variety of events and specials and conducted interviews with notable figures such as the Dalai Lama, Buzz Aldrin, Carly Simon, and Whoopi Goldberg, among others.

Boston magazine rated Pemmaraju the best anchor in Boston in 1996 and 1997. She received many Emmy Awards for her reporting and investigative journalism, in addition to the Texas AP Award, the Woman of Achievement Award from the Big Sisters Organization of America, and the Matrix Award from Women in Communications.
It was believed that Uma’s net worth was around $4 million. As an anchor and broadcaster, she gained the most of her income.
