Nayeon of TWICE is making waves with her first solo album IM NAYEON! On July 3, 2022, Billboard reported that Nayeon’s solo album debuted at number seven on their prestigious Top 200 Albums list. This makes the TWICE member the first K-pop soloist in history to hit the Billboard 200’s top ten. She is, in fact, the first Korean female soloist to hit the Billboard 200 in 13 years, since BoA’s BoA (English Ver.) in 2009.
Them is significant to note that TWICE has already peaked in the top 10 of Billboard 200 twice as a group, making it the first and only K-pop female group so far with two top 10 albums. The two albums in question are TWICE’s new mini-album, Taste of Love, which debuted at #6 on its famed Top 200 Albums list in the same year, and its third studio album, Formula of Love: O+T=3, which debuted at #3 on the same chart.

The POP singer’s personal achievements do not stop there. The album was the best-selling album in the United States for the week, debuting at number one on Billboard’s Top Album Sales list on July 9, 2022. According to Luminate’s official figures, the album sold 57,000 equivalent album units for the week of June 30, 2022.
The album’s overall score was made up of 52,000 conventional album sales and 4,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, resulting in 6.56 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week. POP! (title tune), NO PROBLEM (containing Stray Kids’ Felix), COUNTDOWN (featuring Wonstein), CANDYFLOSS, ALL OR NOTHING, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, and SUNSET will be released on June 24, 2022.

She released her solo debut album, Pop!, on June 24, 2022, accompanied by a music video for the title tune. POP! is a dynamic song with an energetic melody and different instrument sounds that is an expression of the TWICE member’s personality. Her voice and the track’s invigorating brightness are highlighted. The lyrics are about bursting the other person’s expanding heart, which has expanded like a bubble. Not only did the outstanding TWICE member collaborate on POP!, but he also collaborated with Stray Kids’ Felix on the B-side hitting NO PROBLEM.
The two JYP artistes sung the entertaining tune together in perfect unison. Felix and Stray’s Kids also expressed their support for the TWICE member’s debut with a lovely Instagram post that read:
