Tsu Surf Was Arrested For Suspected Crips Gang Racketeering

Tsu Surf

Tsu Surf, a well-known rapper, was arrested on RICO charges on October 13 in New Jersey. Surf was apprehended about 1.30 p.m. by the US Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force, according to Fox 5 New York. He was sent to the Essex County Jail in Newark, New Jersey, where he is still being kept.

Surf was detained at his home, where he was residing with an unnamed lady, according to reports. Surf tried to run via the backdoor, but the home was already surrounded by officials, according to sources. When he realized this, he returned to the home and barricaded himself inside until crisis negotiators came and he surrendered.

Tsu will appear in federal court on October 14 before a judge. Concerning the legal difficulties, Qua Bellamy, his manager, told Lisa Avers that he is in high spirits and is ready to deal with a federal law enforcement situation. Avers said in a video broadcast on her Twitter account:

“He claims he’s also planning to take care of his family and the business colleagues that rely on him.” Tsu, according to Qua, “doesn’t realize the gravity of the situation yet, but is bracing for the worse and hoping for the best.”

Tsu Surf is said to be a Crips gang member.

Tsu Surf is one of ten people detained lately on racketeering allegations. They are said to be members of the Silverback Gorillas, a Crips gang from New Jersey. Surf’s arrest was first reported on social media by AllHipHop.com last week. Surf, on the other hand, tweeted on October 6th:

“I’m not sure I’ll ever foot on a stage again… God has a way of Humbling Us.”

Many more rappers, like Young Thug and Gunna, have been arrested on RICO allegations in recent months. It is probable that other people may be charged with similar offenses in the coming days. The RICO Act states that anybody who has committed two counts of racketeering activity from a list of 35 offenses within ten years may be prosecuted with racketeering if they are in any way tied to an enterprise. If proven guilty, they face a $25,000 fine and a 20-year jail term.
