Torrie Wilson competed in a number of modeling contests. She finished third in the Miss Galaxy competition when she first competed. She did, however, win the Miss Galaxy title in 1998. After winning the championship, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a model and actor. Torrie started her professional wrestling career in 1999. World Championship Wrestling (WCW) was the first to sign her. She made her debut in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on June 28, 2001, on an episode of SmackDown. In 2003, she secured a modeling deal with Playboy magazine. She worked for the magazine for a year and posed several times throughout her stint in WWE. Her contract with WCW and WWE terminated in 2008, and WWE made no offer to her.
