The trio released their first album, ‘DC Talk,’ in 1989, and went on a nationwide tour. The group’s third album, ‘Free at Last,’ outsold ‘Nu Thang’ in terms of success. The album was also later certified “platinum” by the RIAA.
They went on to appear on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,’ where they became household names in America. They were at the pinnacle of their careers when they released Jesus Freak in 1955.
