Till Lindemann Biography
Till Lindemann was born in the German city of Leipzig. Werner Lindemann, his father, was a poet. Brigitte Hildegard “Gitta” Lindemann, his mother, was a journalist who worked for Norddeutscher Rundfunk from 1992 to 2002. Till grew up in Wendisch-Rambow. His younger sister’s name is Saskia. When he was 11, he enrolled in the Emperor Rostock Sports Club, which was regarded as one of the best sports schools in the country at the time. He later attended a boarding school from 1970 to 1980.
Due to their work commitments, his parents lived in different relationships after 1975. Their relationship eventually ended in divorce when Lindemann was young. Though he only spent a few years with his father, whatever time he did spend with him was not pleasant. It was a toxic relationship. Till’s father discussed his personal life in the book “Mike Oldfield,” writing that he struggled with alcoholism and faced difficulties as a father to his teenage son, Till Lindemann.
Till finished eleventh in the European Junior Swimming Championships held in Florence in 1978. He was also named to the 1980 Olympic team, which competed in Moscow.
