This month brings some positive tidings for Jon Stewart admirers. The Trouble with Jon Stewart, the comedian’s famous discussion program, will return to Apple TV+ this month. It is set to debut on March 3, 2023. The first season of the commentary-styled program premiered in 2021, presented by The Daily Show veteran Jon Stewart, who is not only a highly renowned comic but also a notable political pundit, provocateur, actor, producer, and television presenter.
During his term, the program increased in popularity and received critical praise for 22 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several bids for news and journalistic honors. He was the Daily Show’s longest-running anchor from 1995 until 2015 when he was succeeded by comic Trevor Noah. Following his departure, he began presenting The Trouble with Jon Stewart on Apple TV+.
Season 2 of The Trouble with Jon Stewart returns with talks on the military, crime, cancel culture, inflation, and fascism.
According to a formal press statement issued by Apple TV+ Press on April 7, 2022, the present idea of the program is as follows:
“The Trouble with Jon Stewart” is a multiple-season, one-hour, single-issue documentary which will examine subjects that are presently part of the national discussion and his campaign work. To continue the conversation, each season of the series will be further examined in a supplementary podcast.”
Part two of season two, however, will feature the series’ first-ever abroad talks with a number of foreign policy officials. Stewart is seen confronting Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge over the state’s gender-affirming treatment prohibition in a preview for the forthcoming season.
As per an Apple TV+ press release from February 2023:
“The second season continues with six all-new segments covering subjects such as crime, military strategy, inflation, and democratic backsliding. The series includes difficult, current, and culture-moving discussions from the viewpoints of stakeholders, specialists, and people confronted with these problems, using humor and common sense.
Some notable people who are anticipated to appear in this season of The Trouble with Jon Stewart include:
