After an engrossing first five episodes, Hulu’s newest series, The Dropout, returns with another thrilling episode, this time bringing us closer than ever to Theranos’ demise. Since the first two episodes, The Dropout has progressed dramatically, and Episode 6 has a sense of urgency that hasn’t been seen previously in the series.
Iron Sisters is the title of the show’s most recent episode, which aired on March 24, 2022. Review Of The Dropout Episode 6- The Truth Cannot Stay Hidden Forever
There was a sense of urgency from the start of the sixth episode. This well-crafted screenplay makes viewers expect something major to happen, in this case, Theranos’ demise. In the first 10 minutes, it was clear that Elizabeth was simply pushing her luck by attempting to create a commercial for Theranos in order to improve the company’s image.
The firm and its CEO, who are on the edge of bankruptcy, will not give up in their fight to keep their goals alive. One of the series’ central themes is Elizabeth’s ongoing corruption, and this episode shows a new twist in the process.
From her cunning personality to her misunderstood moral high ground, Seyfried is great in her depiction. Like the previous three episodes, Episode 6 is hers. The appearance of two new recruits adds to the intrigue of this episode of The Dropout. Employees inside the organization are well aware of Elizabeth’s dishonest practices, and as a result, many leave. The new ones who have been brought in to replace them are younger and smarter.
Though these appear to be positives on paper, the younger generation’s moral compass is stronger, and watching their idol engage in unethical behavior turns them off altogether. The recruits Tyler Shultz (Dylan Minnette) and Erika Cheung (Camryn Mi-Young) may be the final nail in Theranos’ coffin.
After contacting journalist John Carreyrou (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), who had been suffering from a lack of proof until then, the two adolescents are established as the key to Holmes’ downfall. Even with irrefutable proof of misconduct, the episode brilliantly illustrates how tough it is to go up against the affluent and powerful, even before the recruits come up. In conclusion, it’s evident that the giants will come tumbling down in a spectacular manner in no time.
The Dropout’s Technological Aspects
This week’s episode follows in the footsteps of the previous one in terms of technical quality. The writing is the center of attention. The pace is so fantastic that you can have a sense of what’s about to happen before it really happens. The episode is filled with a feeling of impending doom, almost as though a storm is approaching.
With each episode, Seyfried’s portrayal improves, and her supporting cast does an excellent job of sticking to the well-crafted screenplay. Minnette and Mi-Young, the two young ladies, are also noticeable from the start. The sound in their sceneries is very well-designed.
Other technical features are on par with what a TV series of this grade should be. The camera angles are well-considered, the director is competent, and the production design has been excellent from the start. The show’s next episode is going to be huge. On March 31, 2022, it will be released.
