Taylor Hawkins, the drummer for the Foo Fighters, died at the age of 50. The band was on tour in South America and was scheduled to perform on Friday, March 25, at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, Colombia. Hawkins’ most recent performance was on Sunday during the Lollapalooza Argentina headline gig.
Hawkins’ death was announced on social media by Foo Fighters. Foo Fighters were slated to appear at Lollapalooza Brasil in Sao Paulo on March 26, following their performance in Columbia.

Regarding his family background, Taylor Hawkins was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but spent his early years in Laguna Beach, California.
